Trouser Update: Uniform and trousers 2017

Uniform Policy can be found here: Uniform Policy

The Academy has high expectations regarding the uniform and the appearance of students.  All students in Years 7 to 11 are expected to wear the specified uniform and adhere to the uniform rules of the Academy at all times.

Badged items can be purchased from either of our suppliers, whereas general items of uniform can be purchased from other outlets as long as the items are the same style and colour as set out in the Academy prospectus.  The Academy is keen to ensure that our uniform suppliers offer a fair and competitive service to parents and with this in mind the following suppliers are recommended.

Pale blue polo shirts are embroidered with the logo and ‘house’ colours to give students a sense of belonging to that ‘house’.  In addition, the Academy has a jumper that is also embroidered with the logo and has ‘house’ colours on the V neck.

School trousers are black and tailored. School trousers are available from both suppliers and have the Academy logo sewn onto them.

Girls are permitted to wear skirts, but these must be of a ‘Henley’ style and black.

PE Kit

The PE kit consists of:

  • Panelled polo shirt
  • Panelled zip top sweatshirt
  • Panelled rugby top (boys)
  • Panelled skorts or shorts
  • Navy socks with a light blue top

No jewelry to be worn during PE lessons. Earrings and watches must be removed.

Students are permitted to wear scarves and top coats in the event of cold weather, but they must be removed in lessons and are not a replacement for the Academy jumper.  Any student who does this will have the item confiscated.

Footwear must be suitable for school and please note, we do not permit trainers, boots, open toed or canvas shoes, or other unsuitable items.  Student safety around the Academy is our priority.

Please also note that the Academy has a Smart Shop, which sells a small range of quality, used items of uniform.  Please contact Chantal Proud at the Academy for further details.  Donations of good quality, clean uniform items are always welcome.
