Art trip to London was big success

On Saturday 4th March Sawtry VA Art Department took 70 year 8 and year 9 students to London on an Art trip.  Firstly the students carried out some studies and research in the National Gallery including being treated to some Gallery talks. Next it was time for lunch in Trafalgar Square whilst watching the never ending NHS protest march circle the square. After a brief walk across the bridge over the Thames, the London Eye was the next destination. After a flight on the London Eye the students piled aboard a boat for a trip up and down the Thames accompanied by a spectacular rainbow. A great thank you to the wonderful students who appeared to really enjoy themselves and we hope they will also enjoy the upcoming GCSE Art trip to London this October.
