Year 11 Art Workshop at the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge Saturday 18th February

Twelve Sawtry year 11 Art students enjoyed a trip to the Fitzwiliam museum in Cambridge where they were given gallery talks on their Art exam theme as part of the museum’s Source programme. They were then able to use their research to produce some artwork in the museum printmaking workshop, creating a range of fabulous prints.

Art students enjoy a talk from ex-student Charlie Stretch

Charlie visited the Art Department on Monday 6th February and spoke to ks4 and ks5 Art students. He described his route through school, sixth form and then onto a Fine Art degree at De Montford University.

Charlie discussed the importance of Art Degrees and what student life was like at University. The artwork he brought was very interesting and hopefully his visit has inspired other students to follow a pathway in the Arts.
