Penny Miller from Lincoln University spent Tuesday 25th September helping our year 13 students with their personal statements. Students signed up for a 20 minute slot for Penny and her colleague Matt, to read and give feedback on a draft of their personal statement. All the students commented how friendly, approachable and helpful Penny and Matt had been.
In the afternoon, Penny gave a talk to all year 12 entitled ‘Making the most of Year 12’, she stressed how keeping on top of work was essential and encouraged students to think about work experience. We had our first work experience form in today, so Penny obviously made an impact!
We really value the help that university advisers give to school and it is always great when we they give us positive feedback about our sixth formers.
