Cheers & Happy Christmas from the Year 8 G&T Art Club!
Year 8 students certainly don’t need gin and tonic to enjoy themselves! Each year, students who show particular creative promise are invited to take part in our Gifted & Talented Art Club, which takes place every Wednesday after school in Session 6.
It’s one of the highlights of the week for the Art Department—enjoyed by both staff and students alike. This term, students have had great fun making Christmas cards and decorations in the run-up to the festive season.
All the Christmas cards were created using the advanced printing technique of Reduction Lino.
Students have also been making clay and origami decorations to take home.
This week, we had a brilliant time creating spontaneous action paintings in the style of Jackson Pollock!
