September 2026 Admissions for SVA Sixth Form

On Tuesday 30th June, we are hosting our Year 11 Induction Day. This provides an opportunity for students to try out their different subjects, get to know the sixth form centre and shared space more, and ask any questions they may have.

• Transition work for the Summer becomes available after the induction day.
• Lunch is not provided, but there is a café on-site (card only) and students may spend their lunchtime off-site if they wish.
• The day runs from 8.45am to 3pm.  Arrive 8.30-8.35 via the Sixth Form entrance.
• It is a non-uniform day, please wear smart casual clothes (Jeans & T-shirt allowed, not beach wear).

Subjects on offer for 2026 entry

Subjects available are subject to staffing, student numbers and entry requirements laid out above in the image and in the bullet points below:

Entry Requirements

• A good attitude to learning and study
• Completion of transition work (1 pack per subject over the Summer, found in the table below).
• A minimum of 3.7+ APS for blue band subjects, 4.5+ for green band subjects and 5.5+ for yellow band subjects
• At least a grade 4 in GCSE English or Maths for blue band subjects
• At least a grade 4 in both GCSE English and Maths for green and yellow band subjects
• Some yellow band subjects have additional requirements as set out in the prospectus

To calculate your APS (Average Point Score), add up your 8 best GCSE results and divide the total by 8. If you do not know your GCSE results yet, please use your predicted grades on your latest learning profile. Evidence of your results on GCSE results day is a required condition of your place.
