
Programme of Study
A typical programme of study at Sawtry Village Academy Sixth Form consists of:
- Three Level 3 subjects which may include A levels and Alternative Academic Qualifications (AAQs) across approximately 12 to 15 hours per week. More detail can be found here
- An Enrichment Curriculum including the Extended Project Qualification, Core Maths, Core English, GCSE English & Maths Resit, Volunteering, on-site sports, Sports Leadership Award, Work Shadowing, Mentoring, Future Life Skills, Class & Student Support, and other options across approximately 2 hours per week

- A Daily Registration Program for 25 minutes per day with a dedicated Sixth Form tutor including:
– Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance (CEIAG) including UCAS, employment and apprenticeships
– Teambuilding
– Current Affairs
– Wellbeing including alcohol, drugs, driving, sex & relationships education and other topics
– Fundamental British Values including democracy, the rule of law and tolerance
– Social, Moral, Spiritual & Cultural (SMSC) development
- Private Study Periods across approximately 10 hours per week
- Termly Academic Mentoring with a Sixth Form tutor and dedicated advice from our Post-16 Advisor
- Work Experience Week and Futures Day at the end of Year 12
